Last night was the 10th anniversary dinner of fund-of-funds titan Arki Busson's children's charity ARK.

The star-studded guest list was Royal-heavy.

There were actual royals: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- aka Wills and Kate.

Hedge fund royalty: Arki Busson, Ian Wace, Louis Bacon, Pierre Lagrange and Kevin Rundle.

Hollywood royalty: Kevin Spacey

And model royalty: Elizabeth Hurley and Sophie Dahl.

Almost $28 million was raised for programmes in Africa, Romania, the UK and India.

The ARK event was Prince William and Catherine's (as she now likes to be called) first official event as a Royal couple

Pippa Middleton Is At Wimbledon Right Now

Days after Kate Middleton and Prince William were spotted taking in the action at Wimbledon, Middleton's sister, Pippa Middleton, has made an appearance.

The younger Middleton has her on-again, off-again boyfriend Alex Loudon in tow -- which should help silence rumors of her single status and links to Prince Harry.

Loudon has appeared pretty chatty each time the cameras cut to the couple -- but Pippa is only mildly impressed by whatever he's telling her.

(Note the very slight smile she indulges him with in the second photo. We can only assume she's trying to concentrate on the match, and he's kind of annoying her.)

Keep it up, Loudon. We'd love to write again soon that she's back on the market.

Polo In Santa Barbara, Dinner With Tom Hanks: Inside The Royal Couple's American Road Trip

Goodbye Canada, hello California.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are due at LAX early this afternoon.

And just as they did in Canada, they'll hit the ground running with a packed and fabulous schedule.

Hollywood A-listers and West Coast fashion designers have spent weeks quietly vying for a piece of the royals' attention.

Here's what -- and who -- is on their agenda.

Governor Jerry Brown will greet the couple at LAX this afternoon.

He'll be accompanied by his wife, Anne Gust Brown, and a handful of other state officials. No word on whether the Browns' Corgi will be in attendance.

They'll be staying at the home of British Consul-General Dame Barbara Hay.

Hay's Hancock Park Mediterranean mansion is over 7,000 square feet -- and she'll throw an intimate welcome reception for the couple tonight.

California's tourism commission put together a list of boutiques they think Middleton will love.

The list includes: Dressed by Susan Pitcher and Lily of Montecito, both in Santa Barbara; Trina Turk, Barneys, Mona Moore and Maxfield in Los Angeles; Planet Blue and Fred Segal in Santa Monica; and Madison in Brentwood. We're not sure she'll actually have the time to shop, but we heartily agree that the Duchess would love Trina Turk (as celebs like Leighton Meester do.)

Pippa And Her Banker Boyfriend Are Flying To Mustique To Get Their Love Back On Track

Despite rumors that the relationship was finished, Pippa Middleton and her financier boyfriend are still an item.

But the stress of the spotlight has taken its toll on the young couple.

So where are they going? The Caribbean!

According to the Sun, Pippa and Alex Loudon are "hoping to patch things up... on the Caribbean island where sister Kate wooed Wills after they split."

The pair will head to Mustique in late July "so they can enjoy time alone out of the spotlight."

Mustique is a private island in the West Indies that has only 100 villas on it. There is one hotel, and Kate Moss, Bill Gates, Mick Jagger and other members of the royal family are well known fans of the exclusive island.

According to the Sun, Pippa and Alex have "struggled" since the Royal Wedding under the "huge strain" of the media spotlight.

Alex used to be a stockbroker, but recent reports had him working as a corporate finance and development analyst at beer brewer SABMiller.

Alex isn't Pippa's first banking beau: she used to date J. J. Jar dine Patterson, the heir to a Hong Kong banking fortune. And she was also linked to Alexander Spencer Churchill, "a millionaire who deals in wealth management."

Alex's father, James, was a financier and is now Chairman of Caledonia Investments in London -- in which Alex has a small stake.

After 300 Years The British Royal Family Might Allow A First Born Female To Take The Crown

British Prime Minister David Cameron has written to the heads of the Commonwealth states to ask for their opinion on changing the laws of succession for the British Throne.

The Daily Mail reports that Cameron is asking whether the throne should be given to first born females or even Royals married to Catholics.

Cameron wrote:

"We espouse gender equality in all other aspects of life and it is an anomaly that in the rules relating to the highest public office we continue to enshrine male superiority."

The British premier also noted that the discrimination against Catholics was a "historical anomaly" -- though British heads of state will still need to belong to the Church of England.

To make the change, the BBC reports, Cameron needs 15 other Commonwealth heads of state to agree with him.

The Commonwealth States are post-colonial states which feature the Queen as a head of state. They currently include UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Belize, St Christopher and Nevis, St Lucia, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Papua New Guinea.

Prince William and his wife Catherine were guests of honor at a hedge fund gala last night, Financial News reported.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who slipped into a red Beaulah London gown, mingled with more than 300 senior female hedge funders, while raising money for charity.

The event, hosted by 100 Women in Hedge Funds, a not-for-profit investment organization, was held at St. James's Palace in London.

More than £675,000 was raised for Child Bereavement Charity, which supports families when a child dies.

"What you are both doing together to alleviate the suffering of children who have lost family members, and bereaved families who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child, is beyond praise," the prince said in his speech.

The AP reports that a senior British e-crime official has she had been called in to deal with the threat on the wedding day. She was successful in averting the mischief.

Prince William's Dramatic Rescue Mission Is Single-Handedly Boosting The Royals' Image

$

Prince WilliamThe top of the television news for a full cycle in the U.K. this weekend was, unusually, a story about the helicopter rescue of two sailors washed overboard when their ship sank in the Irish Sea.

Despite the undeniable newsworthiness of this tragic event (of the other six Russian crewmen, one is confirmed and five are presumed dead) and the fact that dramatic night-vision footage of a man suspended from a chopper by a rope grabbing two mariners from an inflatable raft was provided to news organizations, a casual observer might have been rather surprised at the attention paid to this particular shipwreck.

Commercial-shipping accidents happen in British waters all the time, and they don’t usually make much more than a ripple on the media lake, especially when it is a foreign crew that is lost, but this one seems a shoo-in for Monday’s front pages.

This rescue was different, because this was a rescue by royal appointment. For, at the controls of the helicopter, coolly piloting his craft above the foaming waters, was none other than Flight Lieutenant William Wales, better known as the Duke of Cambridge, even better known as Prince William. Only The Irish Times has been able to resist mentioning the involvement of the British royal family.

See Prince William And Kate's Lavish Caribbean Hideaway

CurbedThis post originally appeared on Curbed.

The March 2007 article in Architectural Digest that featured this sprawling Caribbean villa opened with a memorable, and most appropriate, line: "What sort of wedding present do you give a princess?"

See the Aurora Villa >

That query referred to Colin Tenant's gift of property on the exclusive island of Mustique to Princess Margaret, but the question arose again now that the Duchess of Cambridge—the former Kate Middleton—and her husband Prince William are shacking up in the very same villa for a winter holiday.

Dubbed the "Aurora Villa," the five-bedroom colonial spread typically rents for $23,000 per week, but seeing as it's owned by a family friend, British hedge funder Mark Cecil, it might not be costing the royal couple a pence. The same can't be said for the island's other guests, who have been prohibited from using Mustique's iconic modified golf carts, for fear that they might try to sneak a peek at the royals.

Prince William 'The Conqueror' To Be Deployed To The Falklands Today

Prince William

Prince William is due to be deployed to the troubled Falkland Islands later today, where he will be working as an air force pilot, the Telegraph reports.

The Prince's arrival comes just a day after the UK announced it would be sending its most advanced warship to the region, which part of a territorial dispute with Argentina.

The Prince is due to take part in a six week long military mission.

Apparently in response to David Cameron's "colonialism" comments, the Argentinian Foreign Ministry has released a statement on the deployment, saying it was regrettable that the Prince would be arriving in "the uniform of a conqueror."

Princess Madeleine Sweden

It's been just over a year since Prince William wed Kate Middleton in a lavish and internationally televised ceremony. Even with the most eligible bachelor of the past decade off the market, girls all over the world are still dreaming of their own fairytale weddings. (Grace Kelly, anyone?)

This week is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee–an event celebrating the Queen's 60 years as monarch–where family, friends, and other royals will all gather to honor Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice will all be there (you can watch them in an exclusive interview by ABC's Katie Couric).

But they don't have to be English. Here are the world's hottest and most eligible royals, ranging from Great Britain all the way to Thailand.

Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand

The 25-year old princess is the daughter of the Crown Prince Maha Vajralongkorn.

She was educated at Chalalongkorn University where she received a degree in Fine Arts.

In 2007 she was invited to show her collection at Paris Fashion Week, entitled "Presence of the Past." The following year she debuted another collection, gaining a royal presence within the fashion world.

Princess Madeleine, Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland

Princess Madeleine is 27 years old and fourth in line for the throne.

She attended Stockholm University where she studied history, ethnology, and modern history.

She is an enthusiastic equestrian and has competed under the name "Anna Svensson." She was previously linked to lawyer Jonas Bergström with whom she was engaged to be married. However, they broke it off and she is currently dating financier Chris O'Neill.

Prince Carl Philip, Prince of Sweden, Duke of Värmland

Prince Carl Philip is 33 years old and is third in line for the throne.

Before attending school, he completed his military duties at the Swedish National Defense College. Later in 2011, he received a degree in Agricultural and Rural Management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He has previously been linked to Emma Pernald and model Sofia Hellqvist.

The Tragic Evolution Of Princess Diana Magazine Covers

Princess Diana Magazine Cover

On Aug. 22, Prince Harry was thrown into the spotlight even more than usual after nude photos of the royal partying in Vegas surfaced all over the internet.

And about a week later, Aug. 31, marked the 15th anniversary of his mother Princess Diana's death.

While Harry has grown up accustomed to the limelight, his late mother wasn't always so at ease with the cameras.

What started as the public's interest in the seemingly fairytale marriage of Lady Diana and Prince Charles of Wales led to rumors of affairs, probing by the press, and ultimately, her death after a paparazzi car chase in 1997.

Whether it was the birth of her two sons or scandalous rumors of what was going on inside the palace, the press documented Lady Di's every move—for better or worse.

Retronaut posted the following 18 magazine cover photos showcasing the 16-year evolution of Princess Diana in the press.

1981: 20-year-old Lady Diana became The Princess of Wales when she married The Prince of Wales on July 29, 1981, at St Paul's Cathedral. The newlyweds' photo was blasted on magazine covers across the world.

1982: On June 21, Princess Diana gave birth to her and the Prince's first son and heir, William Arthur Philip Louis.

1983: Princess Diana's trouble with the invasive British press begins. She told a British publication, "I am finding it very difficult to cope with the pressures of being Princess of Wales, but I am learning to cope."
